MISSION & HISTORY.

Gracious Promise is a volunteer-led, faith based jail ministry serving in Johnson County, Kansas. The ministry has planted, equipped, and partnered with jail ministries in Douglas County, Kansas well as Cass, Clay, and Platte Counties in Missouri. Gracious Promise provides Christ centered support for those who are impacted by incarceration in the Johnson County, Kansas Jails or the Adult Residential Center as they seek to rebuild their lives.

Since 1995, Gracious Promise has ministered to the incarcerated, many of whom feel confused and ashamed, and are often emotionally challenged as they experience severe instability. Each faces many obstacles inherent in our society as it exists today. We assist interested individuals in dealing with these barriers and in moving forward in their walk with Christ.
